Jim King is a Councillor for Salford City. He also serves in a variety of local roles including as Chair & Director Salford Credit Union, a board member of Salix Homes (serving on the Audit & Risk Committee and the Growth & Development Committee), Chair and Director Salford City Radio, Director of the Co-operative Press and as a school governor. Previously, Jim was Regional Director for the Co-operative Group.
Jim Battle is a former councillor for Manchester City. He has also served as Greater Manchester Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner and the Deputy Leader of Manchester City Council, as well as chairing the Greater Manchester Domestic Violence Reduction Board and the Greater Manchester Mental Health Partnership Board. Jim was the Head of the National Housing Federation in the North of England and has played a significant part in the growth of social housing in Greater Manchester. He is currently Vice Chair of Salix Homes and is active in governance in education and the voluntary sector.
Dr julie froud
Dr Julie Froud is a Professor at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. Her research interests include financialisation, corporate business models and the social and economic role of finance. She is a member of the Foundational Economy Collective and her current research focuses on how to support the foundational economy of everyday essential goods and services.
Clive Memmott is Chief Executive of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the British Chambers of Commerce
Dr Marianne Sensier
Dr Marianne Sensier is a Research Fellow in Economics and she works for Professor Fiona Devine, Head of Alliance Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester. In 2017 Marianne worked for the Industrial Strategy Commission and in 2018 contributed to the Audit of Productivity for the Greater Manchester Prosperity Review. Marianne’s main research areas include: local industrial strategy, inclusive growth, regional business cycles and economic resilience.
Dr Daniel Tischer is a lecturer at the University of Bristol researching money, banking and finance. Recently, Daniel led a collaborative research project into “Access to Cash” with the FCA and PSR, funded by LINK and supported by the Post Office and UK Finance.
Frank Travis is chair of the Cash Box Credit Union, a member of Mossley Town Council and Chair of the Royal British Legion Ashton branch. Previously he was a councillor for Mossley on Tameside Borough Council. Professionally, Frank was a town planner in community regeneration for Tameside Council.
Charles Ward is a qualified actuary and professional pension scheme trustee focusing on the North West of England. Board member of Chorlton Community Land Trust and WalkRide GM C.I.C.
